The Aurora Australis Western Australia Facebook Group is an excellent resource for knowing when the best times might be to hunt auroras from Western Australia.

Join them to discuss Aurora Australis events and unusual night sky phenomena, primarily in, but not restricted to WA.

With its relative proximity to the South Pole, Tasmania offers captivating opportunities to witness the Aurora Australis. The dedicated Aurora Australis Tasmania Facebook group for aurora of chasers is dedicated to helping members catch an aurora sighting.

Sharing aurora alerts and photography, the group describes itself as “less-sciencey, more-let-you-know when it is happening” so you can get out there.
